The worship of God has taken place in Lichfield Cathedral for more than 1300 years. The Offices (or services) of Morning and Evening Prayer take place daily, and include the praise and worship of God, the reading of the Bible, and prayer for the Church and the world. Eucharistic worship also takes place daily.
Monday to Friday:
- 7.30am - Morning Prayer
- 8.00am - Holy Communion (in the St Chad's Head Chapel)
- 9.30am - Holy Communion
- 5.30pm - Choral Evensong (except Wednesdays)
- 5.30pm - Evening Prayer (Wednesdays)
Saturday:
- 9.30am - Holy Communion
- 5.30pm - Choral Evensong
Sunday:
- 8.00am - Holy Communion
- 10.30am - Sung Eucharist
- 3.30pm - Choral Evensong
During school holidays there may be a visiting choir singing, otherwise there is Evening Prayer in place of Evensong.
