Following the Sabbatical discussions earlier this year, the nature of Pastoral Ministry became a key focus of interest. Every Christian community has to be a ministering community following in the steps of Christ and embodying his love in our time.

Learning about the scope and depth of pastoral ministry, how it is sacramentally expressed, how it is practically done, how it is prayerfully done, and how we discern a call to share in this ministry as the people of God, will form the basis of a course of meetings being run by the Dean and Jane Gledhill in late November.

The series will run on Wednesdays 14th November, 21st November and 28th November with an important Saturday morning session on 17th November.  Please complete a booking form (available at the back of the Cathedral) if you are able to attend the whole course.  Places are limited to thirty.  The series will be of special interest to those who feel they want to explore their own contribution to this ministry.  The focus of the meetings will be on the major Biblical and Doctrinal themes of pastoral ministry.  The series is aimed at members of the Cathedral congregation and for that reason we are unable to accept other applications.
