Many of you will be aware that as part of the Diocesan Link with Malaysia, the St Chad's Trust has sponsored a placement programme which has taken volunteers from our Diocese to work with church congregations and projects in Malaysia, and volunteers from there to work in this Diocese.

For the first time, it has been possible to arrange for a volunteer to be based at the Cathedral.  Her name is Helina Solomon and she is expected to arrive some time around February, on a placement that will last 6-12 months.  The first and most urgent thing we need to do is fix up her accommodation.  I am therefore looking for another kind of volunteer: someone with a spare bedroom who will be able to offer a home to Helina for at least part of her stay with us (three months would be excellent).  If you think you can help, or if you would at least like to know more, please speak to me.  Canon Pete
