The Revd Dr Pete Wilcox, Canon Chancellor at Lichfield Cathedral, flies out to Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday 8 January, to spend three weeks in Lichfield’s three companion Dioceses of West Malaysia, Kuching and Sabah.

The purpose of his visit is to assist in the planning of a ‘CrossTalk’ conference here in the UK in July this year, ancillary to the Archbishop’s Lambeth Conference, when delegates from all our partner Dioceses (including Mecklenburg in Germany, Qu’Appelle in Canada and Matsolane in South Africa) will be coming to meet with delegates from parishes in our own Diocese, to consider what we can learn from one another about the mission to which God the Father has called us, through Jesus Christ, in the power of the Spirit.

Pete will be meeting key church leaders in the three Dioceses, to hear their stories about God’s mission and to learn from their understanding of it, and to assist in the task of identifying key themes for exploration at the conference.  Pete would be glad of your prayers.

If you'd like to keep in touch with Pete's progress, have a look at his blog which he will keep regularly updated during the trip.
