The Cathedral Library

The Dean Savage Reference Library

The Dean Savage Reference Library is housed in the Old Song School, a detached building on the North side of the Cathedral Close standing between Nos. 14 and 15. The library was set up by a Deed of Foundation in 1924 by the then Dean of Lichfield, the Very Reverend Henry Erwin Savage DD. [more...]

Opening Hours

The Cathedral Library is available only by appointment with the Librarian or Canon Chancellor, and the Dean Savage Library is available only to members, who are issued with keys for an annual subscription (£5).
