If you visit Lichfield Cathedral, you will receive a warm welcome and a free leaflet which will guide you round the Cathedral.  The lavish new Pilgrim Guide is available in English, as well as (in abbreviated from) in French, German, Spannish, Italian Polish and Mandarin Chinese.  Free leaflets are also available for children (The Rainbow Guide) and young people (Blood, Bones and Battles:  A Grisly Guide to Lichfield Cathedral).  Vistor Guides are also availabe at £2 and Souvenir Books at £8.

Hospitality is provided by Chapters, our own licensed restaurant, serving light meals, tea and coffee, wine and beer.

Information is available from our team of Welcomers, our trained Guides and Chaplains, and from the Visitors' Centre.

Facilities are provided for those with special needs, and there are RE resources for the use of special needs students and schools.

Accessible toilets are available in the Cathedral Coffee Shop, and opposite the Visitors' Centre.  Public toilets are also available on these sites. Most of the building and the entire Close is accessible to wheelchair users. Plans are in hand to improve facilities further.

Our guides are trained to take round those with special needs, and we are working on educational resources for the use of special needs schools.

If you would like to make a visit as a group, or bring a school party on a study visit, then please see the tours page.

From time to time entrance to the Cathedral may be restricted because of services or concerts. Please check the events calendar.
