|
|
|
Friday, 26 September 2008 |
Dine in the splendid medieval surroundings of Lichfield Cathedral at the Patrons' Annual Dinner
Lichfield Cathedral is delighted to announce that the fifth Patrons
Annual Dinner will be held on Friday 3rd October 2008 at Lichfield
Cathedral.
The Dinner is a prestigious, black-tie event that begins with a
drinks reception in the Cathedral Transepts. A dinner of four courses
(with wines) is then served in the Nave. The after-dinner guest speaker
this year will be Professor Michelle Brown, FSA, Professor of Medieval
Manuscript studies at the University of London. Among the major
exhibits Michelle has curated are the Lindisfarne Gospels and the
Lichfield Gospels for the British Library in 2003. Michelle has a deep
and enduring affection for Lichfield Cathedral, a passion for her
subject and a great talent for after-dinner speaking. She certainly
makes history interesting and entertaining.
