Volunteering at Lichfield Cathedral

Posted on Thursday, 09 December 2010 12:01
Over 400 volunteers make a vital contribution to the mission and work of Lichfield Cathedral.

What type of volunteers does the Cathedral need?

There are a wide range of volunteers including Guides and Welcomers, Stewards, Servers, Sunday School and Crèche helpers, Flower Arrangers, Embroiderers, Bellringers, Coffee Shop and Bookshop volunteers, Music Department helpers, Reception, IT and Administration, Maintenance, members of the Diocesan Digest Sound Magazine team and of course the Holy Dusters.

Stop Press..Volunteer Vergers Urgently Required!

Have you got time to spare and a passion to serve God? Are you 16 years old or older and want to broaden your experience of church life? If so, then we want you at Lichfield Cathedral!

We are looking to recruit a team of Volunteer Vergers to join us in the exciting behind the scenes work at the Cathedral. You will be helping support the smooth running of a busy and dynamic Cathedral by assisting with daily worship and extra events while preserving our important heritage.

If you would like to be a part of this important ministry we would like to hear from you.  If you require more information please contact Jane Hardy on 01543 306140 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
