Jubilee Proms Concert Sponsor Announced
On Saturday 16 June 2012, Lichfield Garrick and Lichfield Cathedral will join together for the first time to present a magnificent celebration of the Accession of Queen Elizabeth II and the great tradition of the patriotic British Proms concert. This concert will be raising funds for the Cathedral's East End Appeal.
The concert will be sponsored by the specialist insurance and financial services company, Ecclesiastical insurance. For more details click here to visit the Ecclesiastical website.
The programme of music in this most lavish of concerts will feature Coronation Anthems; Zadok the Priest and I Was Glad, together with film footage and excerpts from the Westminster Abbey Coronation. Click on Read more to find out further details.
The concert will conclude with the traditional flag waving "Last Night of the Proms" favourites, Rule Britannia, Nimrod, Sea Songs, Jerusalem, I Vow to thee my Country and of course, Pomp & Circumstance March No 1 - Land of Hope and Glory.
