Who are the Friends?

The Friends have been part of the Cathedral community since 1937. There are presently approximately 1200 Friends of Lichfield Cathedral from all over the world and they enjoy fellowship, raising funds and having the opportunity to take part in events and visits that are organised.

What do the Friends do?

The aims of the organisation are:

• to further the religious and other charitable work of Lichfield Cathedral.
• to assist and promote the restoration, maintenance, repair and improvement of the Cathedral and to support the worship, music and ministry of the Cathedral.
• to bring people with an interest in the Cathedral together in fellowship, and in particular to strengthen the bond between the Cathedral and the Diocese.
